Engineering Manager
Minimum Requirements
- Associate’s degree or equivalency diploma with 2+ years prior experience in PLC and HMI/Touchscreen programming
- Demonstrate experience programming in Allen-Bradley RSLogix5000 / Studio 5000
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
- Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time and remain on-site until job completion.
- Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to be covered under company auto insurance.
- Ability to safely lift 50lbs.
- Ability to work in outdoor and industrial environments during field commissioning.
- Ability to pass a DOT-required drug test (mandatory condition of employment)
- Willingness to work outdoors at customer sites during commissioning
- PLC communications protocols is a plus.
- Prior experience in programming for natural gas compressors a plus.
- AutoCAD Electrical experience a plus.

General Duties
- Develop PLC programs for new projects, ensuring functionality, reliability, and compliance with project requirements
- Support other project engineers with PLC programming and technical problem-solving as needed
- Manage industrial control panel projects from start to finish. This includes creation of drawings, Bill of Materials, communication with customers, PLC and HMI programming, and field service commissioning.
- Professionally communicate with customers – both verbally and in writing – concerning project status, program needs, and reports.
- Work with purchasing and production teams to ensure accurate, up-to-date project schedules.
- Work with vendors to provide the best solutions for our customers’ applications.
- Create and maintain project documents.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that support long-term growth and operational excellence
- This is an exempt position; when project demands require additional hours to meet schedules, deadlines, or commissioning requirements, those hours must be worked
- Typical work arrangement includes four in-office days per week, with remote work on Fridays, when project responsibilities allow.
- Field work often involves outdoor environments, industrial facilities, and hazardous-area locations.
