Required Experience

  • 2-year Technical Degree with 1-year prior work experience or 3 years previous experience as an electrical assembler.
  • Prior experience safely working with hand tools (ie, screw drives, power drill, bench grinder, jigsaw, circular saw.)
  • Practical knowledge of basic electrical circuits, wiring, and crimping.
  • Ability to safely lift 50lbs
  • Stainless Steel Tube bending experience a plus
  • Knowledge of PLC controlled equipment, electrical, mechanical and control systems, including, switches, relays, and/or HMI devices is a plus.
  • Current Texas driver license and a clean driving record with the ability to be covered under company auto insurance.

Required Skills

  • Able to read electrical schematics and electrical panel layouts to build electrical control panels with limited supervision.

General Duties

  • Work with a team; reading, interpreting, and following wiring diagrams and/or schematics to assemble electrical PLC control panels. Assembly includes printing/engraving labels, drilling or cutting sheet metal, assembling components, wiring electrical panel, and inspection of workmanship.
  • Work with engineering to clarify documentation discrepancies.
  • Adhere to company standards for quality, workmanship, and safety.
  • Assigned responsibility to a work center (Work Center Captain):
    • Ensuring jobs in work center are being worked on and built to quality standards.
    • Caring for cleanliness and safety of that work center.
    • Preventative maintenance of tools and equipment in work center.
    • Restocking yard materials.
    • Reporting daily progress on work assigned to the work center.
  • Assigned to a project team as a production representative: participating in project reviews and kick-off meetings.
  • Assist team in maintaining and cleaning production area, warehouse, shop equipment, and office areas.
  • Assist new employees with learning company standards and policies.
  • Use company vehicle to deliver products and pick-up parts when needed.
